Remarks: Michael Schmidt began his studies in Weimar and then continued them with Prof. HD Klaus in Detmold. Since 1994, he has been principal clarinetist in the Darmstadt State Orchestra Darmstadt, holds the same position with the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra, and is a frequent guest with the Bavarian State Opera, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, etc. Michael Schmidt has been a lecturer in clarinet, methodology, and didactics at the Professional Academy of the Academy of Music in Darmstadt since 2003.
