Remarks: Benedikt Seel has been principal bassoonist of the Beethoven Orchestra in Bonn since 2022. He studied at the Detmold University of Music with Tobias Pelkner. He gained orchestral experience in the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra and the Youth Orchestra of the Bavarian State Opera while still at school. He has performed as a soloist with the 'Neue Philharmonie München' and the Detmold Chamber Orchestra in the Herkulessaal Munich and the Philharmonie Berlin. During his studies, he played in the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and as solo bassoonist with the Basel Chamber Orchestra and the Detmold Chamber Orchestra. After being engaged as deputy principal bassoonist in the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra for a year at the age of 19, he played as 1st principal bassoonist in the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin from 2016 to 2017. He has performed under conductors such as Christoph Eschenbach, Simone Young, Kent Nagano, Donald Runnicles and Mariss Jansons. Please use our website with the registration sheet.
