| Remarks: |
Target group: Outstanding instrumentalists aged 16 to 24 – violin, viola, cello, double bass, piano, and trumpet. Program: The Notos Chamber Music Academy / NCMA offers participants the opportunity to play and perform with members of the Notos Quartet in various ensembles. During an intensive rehearsal period, several chamber music concert programs are developed. The experienced musicians of the Notos Quartet engage with the young talents as equals, sharing their musical thoughts and ideas to inspire and learn from one another. Communication, both personal and musical, is central to the program as the foundation of collaborative music-making. The goal is to achieve a shared musical expression through trust and respect, thereby enabling a particularly intense chamber music experience. This includes a deep understanding of the works and the highest level of musicianship, as well as the joy of interpersonal connection and making music together, and the pleasure of sharing the music with the audience. FONO FORUM certifies the Notos Quartet as "among the most outstanding chamber music ensembles of our time." Audiences and critics alike admire not only the ensemble's "virtuosic brilliance and technical perfection" but also its "sense of balance and interplay, which makes every detail of the composition audible." The 2026 theme is "Colours." The course begins on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM and ends on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at approximately 2:30 PM. Detailed information about the course schedule and repertoire can be found on the website. |
